She was born on March 30, 1942, to Juanita and John Nelson. She married John Randall on May 16, 1993, and they lived outside of Glenwood for 28 years. Phyllis lived most of her life in Nebraska and Iowa where she enjoyed having her cats around her, cooking for large groups, drinking wonderful wine, eating good chocolate, gardening on the land she and John owned, and being with family. She loved to listen to music from the 70's and early 80's and always loved to have a vase of fresh flowers. Phyllis loved baseball especially Cardinals Baseball and the College World Series. In her younger adult life - she loved travelling, baking cakes, photography, ceramics, sewing, playing tennis, sailing, and camping. Phyllis worked for Northwestern Bell, AT & T, and Lucent Technologies. She retired in early 2000 Once retired, she and John started OakCrest Gardens, a perennial nursery. Phyllis was a member of multiple garden and wine clubs throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, John Randall; Children: Julie Torel l(Alan), Mark Davis (Kathryn Bartek), and Eileen Barks (Brian); Brothers: Bob Reichwein (Sharon) Chuck Reichwein, Rich Reichwein; Sister, Karna Burgoyne; Brother-in-law, Pat Delaney (Mary); Grandchildren: Lindsay Stoehr (Eric), Nicholas Alfaro, Ryan Alfaro, Will Davis, Levi Davis, Soren Davis, Laura Heller (Corbin), Hannah Barks; Great Grandchildren: Kymber and Connor Stoehr; and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis loved flowers. Any arrangements sent to the service will be donated to local nursing homes. Memorials may be directed to The Food Bank for the Heartland 10525 J St, Omaha, NE 68127 or to the family for any funeral expenses. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 30, 2021 at Forest Lawn Chapel at 10:30 A.M. Inurnment will follow the service in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
