Beverly J. Landt-Rider, age 58, of Ankeny, Iowa, died Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2210 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa, with a luncheon to follow. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com. Born July 11, 1963, in Melbourne, Iowa, Beverly Jean Landt-Rider was the daughter of Larry and Mary (Roskopf) Landt. She grew up on the family farm near Melbourne and graduated from West Marshall High School in 1981. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University in 1985. Bev was united in marriage to Thomas D. Rider on June 8, 1991, in Melbourne. They made their home in Marshalltown and were blessed with two children, Barry and Jordan. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Marshalltown. In August of 2014, Bev and Tom moved to Ankeny.
