Ellen Irene Drew

Ellen Irene Drew, a longtime resident of Dos Palos, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at her residence in Dos Palos. She was 101 years old. She was born September 20, 1919 in Elk, California the daughter of Erick and Emelia Dahl. In 1937, Ellen relocated to Oro Loma and settled there for 49 years where she started farming with her in laws. She started a family and worked alongside with her husband raising her children and building what was called The Drew Farm Ranch. After the passing of her husband Ellen moved to Dos Palos and lived there for 35 years. Ellen was a member of El Nido Missionary Baptist Church, Woman's Club and Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting family in and out of the state. She traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, New York, took a Caribbean Cruise and many other trips.. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly and lovingly by her family and friends.
