Jerry Duane Koder, Jr.

Jerry Duane Koder Jr., 57, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, August 7th, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on August 29th at 1pm at the Monroe Legion. In place of flowers the family ask that memorials be sent to Brittany Hitze. The son of Jerry Koder Sr and Dorothy Hudson, Jerry was born on November 6th, 1963. He graduated from Prairie City High School in 1982. Jerry joined the Army National Guard after high school and was honorably discharged. Jerry worked as a millwright for many years then went on to be a semi driver doing numerous jobs. Jerry was recently employed at Van Ryswyk Plumbing and Heating. Jerry was a jack of all trades and could work with any task you put in front of him. Jerry loved fishing and hunting and was very proud to tell his stories of all his experiences. Jerry used to work on and drive stock cars in his younger years. Jerry was never afraid to speak his mind and let anyone know how it is.
