Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Bancroft with Pastor Walter Reemtsma officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Township Cemetery in Swea City with military honors provided by the American Legion McKinnon Post #377 of Bancroft. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Bancroft. Tracy Scott Elliott was born September 23, 1953, in Estherville, Iowa. Son of George and Dolores (Kluger) Elliott. He grew up in Swea City and graduated from the Swea City High School in 1972. After high school, Tracy served in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom during Vietnam. Then after Vietnam was stationed at Holloman AFB. New Mexico. He worked as a mechanic on the F-4 Phantom fighter jet. Upon his honorable discharge Tracy returned to Swea City. Tracy enrolled and successfully completed the power linesman program at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa. r 18, 1977, Tracy was united in marriage to the love of his life Mary Ann Wilson. Their dreams of becoming a mom and dad came true in 1986 when they adopted their son Bryan. Tracy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking, grilling, reloading ammunition, fishing, hunting, and going to the range to shoot his many cherished guns. He also served on the Bancroft ambulance for many years. Tracy was a proud veteran. He truly loved the military and was proud of the service he, his father, his uncle, son, and many other relatives gave to our country. Tracy passed away after his short battle with cancer Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Odebolt Specialty Care in Odebolt, Iowa. He was 67. He is survived by his son, Bryan Elliott and wife, Cristina of Odebolt; four grandchildren, Jerzee, Calvin, Connor and Kynzlee; and a sister, Candy Person of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann on August 13, 2018, and a sister, Colleen Holm.
