Marlin Tallant

Marlin Tallant, age 84, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was born in 1937, to the late Landrum and Irene Tallant. He was a member of Coal Mtn. Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Marlin was a member of Sandy Springs Masonic Lodge #124 F& AM for 53 years. He loved his church and workshop. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha Ann Gilbert Tallant; daughter and son-in-law, Audrey Tallant Fowler and Stacey Fowler; sister and brother-in-law, Dian and John Goldwire; 2 nephews, Curtis (Candy) Goldwire and Lance (Diana) Goldwire; along with many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at Coal Mtn. Baptist Church in Cumming, GA with Rev. Gary Martin and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens with Rev. Roger Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
