DONNA CURTIS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Donna Mae Curtis, 76, of Muscatine, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Doresa Collogan of the Fellowship United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Honorary casket bearers are Arron Gerels, Kara Curtis, Holly Curtis, Bobbie Jo Gerels, Kelsey Cortez, and Courtney Davis-Curtis. Casket bearers will be Jason Gerels, Joseph Starkweather, Gavin Curtis, Jason Cortez, Garrett Post, Joe Schuhow. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A luncheon will be held following the committal at the American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Spangler United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association. Donna was born June 7, 1932, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Leroy E. and Laura C. Survivors include two sons, Scott Curtis and wife, Angela, of Fruitland, and Mark Curtis and wife, Tara, of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Kelsey Cortez and husband, Jason, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Holly Curtis of Dewitt, Kara Curtis of Lost Nation, Gavin Curtis and Courtney of Muscatine, and Bobbie Jo Gerels and husband, Jason, of Muscatine; six great-grandchildren, Leah and Hayden Cortez, Jocelyn and Gaige Curtis, James Gerels, and Trevor Lee Anderson; one brother-in-law, Dean Fletcher of Muscatine; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Curtis of Muscatine and Rosie Yerrington of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Diane Lea Curtis, her husband, and one sister, Doris Fletcher.
