Violet "Vi" Donohoe

Violet "Vi" Donohoe, 67, of West Branch, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died Sunday, October 17, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospital. Funeral Services for Vi will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010, 10:30 AM at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, West Branch with Father Dennis Martin officiating. A parish vigil service will take place Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 4 PM with visitation to follow until 7 PM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be at St. Bridget's Cemetery, Nolan Settlement, Solon. Violet "Vi" Donohoe, daughter of Charles Joseph and Jessie Cleo VanDusen Zousel, was born May 22, 1943, in Cedar Valley, Iowa. She was a 1961 graduate of West Branch High School. Vi was united in marriage to Bernard "Ben" Patrick Donohoe at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in West Branch on July 19, 1969. Vi owned Vi's Stylist from 1967-1971 and then was a teachers aid at West Branch Schools until 2001. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, past member of the Women of the Moose and Alter & Rosary Society and belonged to a card club.
