Fern Susie Anna Hodges
Fern Susie Anna Hodges, age 91, formerly of Quincy, died Sunday, August 29, 2021, in Hudson, Florida. She was born October 10, 1929 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Carl and Elsie Holtman Koch. Oct.18, 1947 she married Kenneth McClellan Louis Hodges. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1977. In addition to her husband Kenneth, Fern was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Reagan Koch. She is survived by her son, Courtenay Hodges and his wife Lynda of Port Richey, FL; two grandsons, Gregory Hodges of Port Richey, FL, and Douglas Hodges of Odessa, FL; her brother Richard Koch and his wife Barbara of Colorado; two nieces, Debbie Jo Koch and Rochelle Koch; and a nephew Randal Koch. While living in Quincy, Fern was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, Alpha Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and both the Illinois and National Cosmetology Associations. Services: A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 15, 2021, in Greenmount Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating. Inurnment will follow.
