JOHN JOHNSON MUSCATINE, Iowa - John E. Johnson, 69, of Muscatine, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Carrington Place. Funeral Service will be 10:30 on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Dan Robbs will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Kory Daufeldt, John Haller, Dustin Rogers, James Johansen, Glen Cubbage, and Steve Johnson. Burial will be in the Veterans Section at Greenwood. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Tim Johnson. John was born on December 19, 1939, in Iowa City, the son of Glen and Emily Martha Busch Johnson Sr. He married Martha Louise Evans on December 4, 1960, in Letts. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2008. He was a US Air Force veteran serving during peacetime between the Korea War and the Vietnam War. He had worked for Woolworth and Thatcher Plastic Packing.
