WILMA IRENE SMITH MUSCATINE, Iowa - Wilma Irene Smith, 86, of Muscatine, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Lutheran Homes. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Mary Howell will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Jason Smith, David Fulmer, Alek Cuellar, Edward Long, David Smith, Marvin Smith, Bill Rueckert, and Rick Hurlbut. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at the funeral home. Wilma was born on June 25, 1923, in Muscatine County, the daughter of Harley and Minnie Powell Blake. She married Orville W. Smith on August 29, 1942, in Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2002. She taught school at Madison and Mulberry Elementary Schools for 20 years. She was a member of the Spangler United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafts. Survivors include two sons, William E.
