KARL M. LOOS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Karl M. Loos, 55, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Jason Crossen will officiate the service. Honorary bearers will be his nieces. Casket bearers will be his nephews. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion following the committal service. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the funeral home. Karl was born on April 30, 1955, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Leo G. and Elisabeth Nies Loos. The family moved to Muscatine in 1961. He enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking. He was an avid card and cribbage player and had a great sense of humor. He loved to tell jokes. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus.
