Lillian B. Mayer

Lillian B. (Plante) Mayer, 75, of Woonsocket, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rollande (Doire) Plante. She worked as a switchboard operator at Landmark Medical Center as well as at Kays Restaurant for many years. Lillian enjoyed being active, loved playing cards, reading and opera music. She is survived by two sons; David Mayer and his partner Lynn Hemenway of North Smithfield; Derek Mayer and his wife Emily of Woonsocket; two brothers, Raymond Plante of Uxbridge, Roger Plante of Woonsocket; sister, Lorraine Lanctot of Woonsocket; four grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Lillian was also survived by her lifelong friend, Pauline Napolitano, who was more than a best friend, she was a sister. Funeral arrangements will be private.
