Roland "Butch" J. Dupont, Jr.

Roland Butch J. Dupont Jr., 72, of Woodland Rd., North Smithfield, died July 27, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Debra Debbie Denomme. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Roland J. Dupont, Sr. and Mary (Dean) Dupont. Mr. Dupont served in the United States Army and worked as a painter for the Painters Union Local 195, Providence. He was associated with Marathon House and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his dogs Tyson and Abby. Along with his wife Debra, he is survived by his children, Jessica Sylvestre of Pascoag and Eric Gonsalves of Woonsocket; his brother, Raymond Dupont of Woonsocket; his sister Mary Nadeau of Woonsocket; and his grandchildren, Adam Sylvestre and Stephanie, Tiphanie and Savanah Gonsalves, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Eileen Cavanaugh. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9 AM - 12 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
