Marie Duncan COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Marie C. Duncan, 90, Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Hospice Chaplain Harold Schutte will officiate. Casket bearers will be James Buser, Eric Strathman, Jeremy Kalous, Matt Buser, Ben Strathman, Ethan Strathman, Danny Buser and Hunter Kalous. Burial will take place in Columbus City Cemetery. Following the committal there will be a time of food and fellowship at the Masonic Hall and Community Center in Columbus City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cotter Presbyterian Church or Iowa Hospice in her name. Marie was born on September 15, 1919, in Cotter, the daughter of John P. and Geniveve B. Bell Jones. She married Lyle Blair Duncan on November 4, 1939, in Cotter. He preceded her in death in 1995. n Star. She was a secretary for Reaney amp; Reaney Law Office in Columbus Junction for 18 years and then worked at Kent Feeds' Nutrition Department in Muscatine for 15 years. She was a member of the Cotter Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school and was Sunday school superintendent. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed raising roses and creating ceramic figurines. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Pam Selk and husband, Bud, of DeWitt, and Sally Buser and husband, Ray, of Fairfax; three grandchildren, James Buser and wife, Patty, Sheri Strathman and husband, Eric, and Brenda Kalous and husband, Jeremy; 10 great-grandchildren, Matt, Allison, Ben, Carli, Kaitlin, Danny, Ethan, Abbi, Hunter and Graci; a sister, Jean B. Miksch of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Jerry Blair; two brothers, Darold and Russel; and a sister, Freeda M. Boynton Jones.
