ROBERT WAGNER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Robert Wayne Wagner, 69, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street. Reverend Dan Schoepf of Calvary Church will officiate the service. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Robert was born on November 19, 1941, in Marshalltown, the son of Jesse C. and Mildred E. Greene Wagner. His first marriage was to Sherry Summitt in 1960, and they later divorced. He married Julianne M. Nielsen on May 27, 1972, in Nashua, Iowa. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School. He retired from Bandag, Inc. in 1999, after 25 years as a printer and manager of creative services. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, classic cars, music, working in the yard, and traveling. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Julianne M. Wagner of Muscatine; three sons, Blaine Wagner and Kevin Pennington, of Tampa Florida, Eric R. Wagner and wife, Dyanna, of Muscatine, and Owen Wagner and wife, Felicia, of Iowa City; two daughters, Shelly Bean and husband, Bruce, of Muscatine, and Megan Treptow and husband, Tom, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Ryne, and Madeline Wagner, Ryley Treptow, and Sophia Pearl Wagner; and one brother, Gary L. Wagner and wife, Judy, of Le Claire. He was preceded in death by his parents.
