ol Systems. She was recognized by her students for the Carver Excellence in Education Award several times and was an advocate of Upward Bound and AP Students. She was president of Melon Patchers Quilting Guild, a Master Gardener intern, and belonged to the Keystone Federated Women's Club and the local, state and National Education Association. Beth was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, quilting, making charity quilts and making Christmas stockings for soldiers. Beth is survived by her husband, Larry Hetzler of Muscatine; three brothers, Bob Terwilleger and wife, Carol, of Castle Rock, Colorado, Sam Terwilleger and wife, Julia, of Dubuque, and Jim Terwilleger and wife, Lois, of Beatrice, Nebraska; a sister, Sarah Soularue and husband, Olivier, of France; a sister-in-law, Janice Wachs and husband, Denny, of West Liberty, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
