Renee Ann Steffen

Renee Ann Steffen, 63, of Baxter, MN passed away peacefully, surrounded by her three children, On Sunday, October 31, 2021 at The Mayo Clinic, St. Marys Hospital. Renee was born September 16, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN to Carl and Dorothy (Snee) Hanson. She was a 1977 graduate of Coon Rapids High School and went on to pursue her Masters and ultimately obtained her Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. Renee spent over 41 years in nursing from bedside to teaching and finally to Senior Administration of nursing. She was devoted to providing clinical care, teaching and mentoring her peers. Renee was an integral part in starting and supporting numerous programs and organizations throughout many healthcare communities across Minnesota and Alaska. She was adventurous and had a passion to explore the world. She was a caregiver, a fighter, and a strong woman that touched many lives and left an imprint. Above all, Renee always enjoyed having a good time and loved her family and friends.
