David Lee Keith, better known as "Long Ranger", lived his life for 45 years. He was born May 10, 1965 in Coweta County to the late Mr. Rufus Parks and the late Georgia Marion Keith. He joined the Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age. Long Ranger was educated in the Coweta County School System. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Lorene Shropshire, and to this union, two beautiful daughters were born. David was an outgoing skillful person who loved to play basketball and all other sports. He also loved his family very much. Long Ranger, at the age of 15, began working in the field of training horses. After so many years at this profession, he became the best horse trainer in Coweta. This led him to travel all over the world. At the end of his accomplishment, he went to work for Southern Mills for 3 years. He later went to truck driving school and mastered that skill. Long Ranger drove trucks for 4 years for Star Trucking Company and Knights Trucking Company. On Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 3:58a.m., God called him home to take his rest from fighting stage 4 lung cancer. David fought a good fight for 10 long months.
