Joseph L. Hoffmann

Joseph L. Hoffmann, 81 of Penllyn PA, died Friday, August 20, 2010 in the Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital Lansdale, PA. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Julius and Mary (nee Payer) Hoffmann. Mr. Hoffmann was a graduate of St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City, NJ and Catholic University in Washington, DC in 1952. He served in the Navy from 6-29-1946 to 4-29-1948 as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He was a Structural Engineer and operated Joseph L. Hoffmann Assoc. in Broad Axe from 1957 until 2009. Mr. Hoffmann was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler. He is the beloved husband of Louise S. (nee Sanborn) Hoffmann and the devoted father of Virginia L. Hoffmann of New York, NY. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Marshall of Eads, TN and his nephews and nieces Edward H. Sanborn IV, Stephen B. Sanborn, John S. Sanborn, and Dr. Mary Davies and Nancy Graham. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:30AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 259 Forest Ave Ambler, PA with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
