George C. Hodge, III

George C. Hodge, III, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on December 3, 2021, of Bellmawr; formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 75. Beloved husband of Eileen for 53 years. Devoted father of George IV (Michele) and Maurine (Pete) Remaly. Loving pop pop of Reilly, Morgan, Ryan, Reese, Rhea and Gavin. Dear brother of the late Frances "Cookie" Tranchitella and Richard Hodge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. George worked at the Navy Yard for over 30 years and most recently worked for Greentech Energy Services for over 20 years. George proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, he was a member of Bellmawr VFW Post 9563, The Elks club, The American Legion 72 of Brooklawn, and a lifetime member Bellmawr Fire Station 32, where he is a former President. George loved sports especially softball and was a player and coach of the Deluxe Bakery Men's Softball Team for over 30 years. George enjoyed sports trivia, gambling and going to the casinos but most importantly he loved to be with his family. There will be a visitation Saturday morning December 11, from 8:30am to 9:45am at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation Church, Bellmawr. Memorial Mass 10am at the Church....[more]
