Harvey Wayne Hosley

Phoenix- After 87 wonderful years on this earth Harvey Wayne Hosley passed away on November 22nd, 2021. Originally from Coudersport, PA, he was born the 8th of 9 children to Leona Clark and Charles Hosley on June 23, 1934. In high school he was called "Harv" and described as "Well-liked athlete... easy-going...keeps his opinions to himself...Oh! Those eyes." His popularity soared due to his athletic ability and was active in football, basketball and crowned homecoming king. He graduated from Coudersport High School in 1953. He joined the US Army in 1954 during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He received a "Good Conduct Medal" and was part of the "Heavy Weapons Infantry." He served 2 years Active then Army reserve until 1963. He packed up and moved to Arizona around 1957. He attended school in California for Standard Oil Company to run Chevron and Exxon service stations. While managing a service station in Tempe, he met the love of his life, Janet Keim, who was attending ASU school of music on a full vocal scholarship. They were inseparable and were married in 1966. ey was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved outdoor adventures, fishing, hunting, stock market trading, reading, cooking, music, home projects and helping care for his children and grandchildren. He had owned several Chevron and Exxon service stations until he retired in 1998 after selling his business. He leaves behind Janet, his beloved wife of 55 years, sons Mathew and Ben, daughter Susan, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
