Nancy Ann Hayes

Nancy Ann Hayes, 59, of Ames, Iowa, was called home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 17, 2021. Memorial visitation will be at the Heartland Baptist Church, 3333 Stange Road, Ames, on Thursday, December 22, 2021, at 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:30 pm. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com. Nancy, the younger of two children, was born August 13, 1962, to Edward and Dolly (Bacon) Hayes. She was raised in the Fort Dodge area and attended Fort Dodge Public Schools. She spent her adult life as a hotel and property manager and considered it a blessing and a privilege to serve the needs of others. Among her most cherished earthly blessings were her two children, Joshua and Ashley, and her three granddaughters, Kayli Grace, Armani Alyese and Solara Isabelle. press to others her love for Jesus Christ. She attributed much of her conviction to the Lord by surrounding herself with friends and family in Christ and serving others. One of the more memorable opportunities to serve the Lord was her mission trip to the country of Romania where she worked in an orphanage taking care of young children and babies. She spoke often of that experience and how it reinforced to her the importance of doing God's work and the satisfaction she felt by being a part of that mission. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and a very special aunt, Betty Meinking. She is survived by her son Joshua (Cristina Martinez); daughter Ashley (Ashley Manney); her three granddaughters; her brother, Joe (Nancy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends who she loved so dearly.
