John Edward Richardson

John E. Richardson age 67, a longtime resident of Ames, Iowa passed away Aug. 13, 2011 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. A 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday Aug. 18, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames with a one hour gathering time before the service at the church. John was born Aug. 31, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Harry P. and Catherine (Glass) Richardson. John served in the United States Marine Corp from 1960-1964. John was a Carpenter and General Contractor. John is survived by his wife of 25 years Deborah of Ames, one brother, Larry (Jo) Richardson of Alpine, CA; one sister, JoAnn Meusburger of Maxwell, his dog Belle, and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert of Perry, one niece and one nephew. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to: Israel Family Hospice House, Ames, IA; or an Animal Shelter of your choice.
