DR. MICHAEL M. PAPIN

Dr. Michael M. Papin, 50, of Marquette, died Saturday morning, January 15, 2022, at his home, with his family by his side and under the care of Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice. Mike was born on October 20, 1971 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a son of James and Johnna Papin, currently residing in Shorewood, Wisconsin. He graduated from Marquette University High School in 1990 and received a degree in biology from the University of Michigan in 1994. Mike then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin, graduating in the year 2000. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Mike entered private practice at the Lighthouse Clinic in Milwaukee, also working for the Milwaukee County Psychiatric Crisis Service and most recently at Upper Peninsula Health System in Marquette in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatry. In his free time, Mike enjoyed raising his family, reading and listening to Bob Dylan. He was also an avid runner and skier. He loved the natural beauty of the U.P. Papin, all of Marquette; two sisters, Margaret Dougherty of Rochester, MN and Kathleen (James) Kass of Cedarburg, WI; also a loving network of aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews.
