ed by everyone who ever played the sport. Most importantly he was humble, loved his family deeply and always placed others before himself. During his time with the Aquinas Hockey program, John started the first Section V Senior Hockey game and played a critical role in creating the JV Hockey program in Monroe County, as well as starting the school's lacrosse program. He also started the Sports Booster Club at Aquinas, a group that would one day be responsible for the fundraising and construction of the new gymnasium. For these reasons (and many more) John became a member of the Aquinas Hall of Fame. John excelled in many leadership positions. He always gave back to the community and was involved in philanthropic efforts that included the building of the veterinary clinic at Seneca Park Zoo and being president of Italian Charities. John also acted as the President of the Rochester Tooling and Machining Association, the Brooklea Country Club, and the Webster Dunkin Donuts Gang. When he wasn't busy fulfilling these roles, John tended to an extensive collection of animals, waterfowl, koi fish, Bonsai, Japanese gardens, and orchids. He was an active hobbyist, too, building a life-sized diorama for his G scale trains in conjunction with the Genesee Valley Train Club and curating an extensive collection of Department 56 villages. John loved watching the New York Yankees, playing golf, and going fishing with his buddies. John's life story will be shared during visitation, 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, February 4th at the funeral home. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Rita's Church, 1008 Maple Dr, Webster, NY 14580. The service will be live-streamed and may be watched at www.saintritawebster.org.
