rs before going to work for Carver Pump, from which he retired in 1993. Bill was a member of the Grandview Community Bible Church and a past member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, camping, singing, dancing, playing guitar and working on cars. More than anything, Bill loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, Margaret Thompson of Grandview; a daughter, Peggy Townsend and husband, Don, of Wapello; a son, Donnie Thompson of Grandview; five grandchildren, Dan and Jamie Townsend-Runnells, Stacy Thompson, Scott and Regina Larkins, Jason and Emily Thompson and Linsey Pytel; 10 great-grandchildren, Bryar, Bailey and Brody Runnells, Jason and Caliegh Miller, Tucker Larkins, Camden and Gracelin Pytel and Natalie and Taylan Thompson; and three sisters, Francis Thuma of Tipton, Bonnie Thompson and Pat Dickey both of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, JoAnn Jefferson, Betty White, Florence Boorne and Mary DeSollar; and three brothers, Kenneth, Joseph (Leland) and George Thompson.
