Linda Noreen Ryan

Linda Noreen Ryan was born on August 3, 1956, to Donald and Janet (DuBay) Fossing in St. Paul, MN. She moved to Windom from Minneapolis with her family in 1960 where she attended Windom Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1974. After graduation, Linda moved to the metro area and attended Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. In 1983, she moved back to Windom. On June 29, 1985, Linda was united in marriage to Douglas James Ryan at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. This marriage was blessed with two children, Timothy and Tracy and was later dissolved. Linda took great pride in working hard to provide for herself and her family and had worked at Lamperts in Windom for some time before working the past six years at Sunshine Foods (now Hy-Vee) in Windom until health issues forced her to retire this past May. She had a passion for Camaros, and crocheting afghans. She loved to be in the warmth of the sun and spending time with her family, especially her children and granddaughter, Maci. sday, September 27, 2011, at the age of 55. Linda was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom where she was confirmed as a young adult. She is survived by her son, Tim (Cassie) Ryan of Maplewood, MN; daughter Tracy (Shilo Sydorowicz) Ryan of Windom, MN; one grandchild, Maci Ryan; father and mother, Don and Jan Fossing of Windom; three sisters, Sharon Haroldson, Arvada, Co; Shirley (George) Hosch, Oakdale, MN; Jennifer (Darryl) Davies, Dresser, WI; two brothers, Dan (Pam) Fossing, Windom, MN; Bill (Cate) Fossing, Excelsior, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Linda is preceded in death by her former husband, Doug Ryan, and nephew Tony Haroldson.
