Clifford Kenneth Nichols WAPELLO, Iowa--Clifford Kenneth Nichols, 84, of Wapello, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at the United Methodist Church, 319 North Main Street, Wapello, Iowa 52653. Rev. Pam Kranzler and Rev. Jerleen Schlesser will be officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun. The family and friends will gather at the Fellowship Hall of the church following the committal. No other visitation is planned. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is providing the care and arrangements. Clifford was born on February 17, 1927, in Oakville, the son of Clifford Joshua and Emma Mae Malcom Nichols. He attended Wapello Schools and later received his GED. He was married to Monna May Franklin and later divorced. He married Constance C. Umphrey in 1975 in Orlando, Florida.
