Jose Guadalupe Moreno COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa--Jose Guadalupe Moreno, 70, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 815 Second Street, Columbus Junction, Iowa 52738. Casket bearers will be Jose Moreno Jr., Alexander Prada, Miguel Benitez, Joseph Moreno, Miguel Benitez, Jr., Jesus Gomez, Danny Zepeda, and Ruben Zuniga. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011, and on Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Jose's name. Jose was born on December 12, 1940, in Sinaloa, Mexico, the son of Jesus and Justina Ibarra Moreno. On August 18, 1964, he was united in marriage to Juana Castro in Mexico. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Juana C.
