go to Chicago for a weekend to participate in a bowling tournament. She enjoyed traveling including her sister trips to their timeshare or anywhere warm where she could lay by the pool. She lovedspending time with her children and grandchildren whenever she could, they were her pride and joy. She was a sports mom and enjoyed attending all her children's sporting events to cheer them on, she was their biggest supporter. Denise was often referred to as "Mama Sparks" as she always treated her children's friends as her own. Denise's favorite things to do while relaxing was to kick back and indulge in her soap operas and the Hallmark channel. Denise had strength and faith like no other. When diagnosed with Colon Cancer 6 ½ years ago she instantly stood up to the challenge and was determined to beat it. Through two major surgeries and several years of chemotherapy she always remained happy, positive, uplifting and her faith never wavered.She was a fighter and gave every day her all.When she found out that chemotherapy was no longer an option, she instantly wanted to participate in Clinical Trials with the hopes of being able to help someone else in the futurebecause she was a kind and caring person. Helping others that went through what she did was important to her. She took pride in participating in the Clinical Trials even if the outcome was not in her favor. Denise was such an inspiration to so many people, she is loved and will be missed by all. Denise was survived by her 4 children Keith and his wife Alaina Sparks, Kevin, Heather and Kimberly Sparks. 6 grandchildren Kelsey, Owen, Mackenzie, Hunter, Quinn Sparks and Aurora Starnes. 9 Brothers and Sisters; Thomas (Kandy) Evans, Sheryl Miles, Leslie Belanger, Gayle(Stephen) Dorchak, Dawn Fitzgerald, Timothy (DeAnna) Evans, Paula Evans, Lauren (Michael) Miller and David (Sheila) Evans. Sister-in-Law Judy Evans and Brad Franciosi. 82 Nieces and Nephews. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and manyfriends who loved her like family. Denise was preceded in death by her husband David Sparks, Parents James and Marjorie Evans, Brothers James and John Evans, Brother-in-Law Timothy Belanger and Sister-in-Law TinaEvans.
