Virginia Ruth LaShure

Virginia Ruth LaShure, 71, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Marion Health. Virginia was born on February 2, 1951, to the late Eugene and Josephine LaShure. She married Danny Ray Hawkins in Gas City, Indiana, on October 14, 1967. They had 3 children together. They divorced and then remarried in Marion, Indiana, on November 14, 2002. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2018. Virginia worked as a waitress at different restaurants over the years, including the old Crossroads restaurant in Marion. She later worked as a truck driver and also as a homemaker. She liked to collect coins, work on her ancestry, and do puzzles like Sudoku. Virginia is survived by her son, Gary (Beverley) Hawkins, Marion; daughter, Donita (Michael) Melick, Gas City; additional children, Lisa (Randy) Harlan, Marion, and Ulonda (William) Davis, Wabash; siblings, Lonnie, Dawn (Alvin), Robin, and Susan LaShure, Patty Hawkins, Harriet (Kenny) Ritter, Nyoka (Andrew) Kennedy, and Rebecca Simmons; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
