Laura Jean Stone

Laura Jean Stone, (nee. Galloway) passed away peacefully at E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice house on June 11, 2022 from complications due to congestive heart failure in Ocala. She was affectionately known as "Mom" to everyone. Laura grew up in Bedford, Ohio before getting married and moving to Burton, Ohio. She retired to Ocala, Florida with husband Walt. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, golfing, and her second home at Stone Lake. Laura was always proud of her sons, grandsons, hole in one while golfing with grandsons. As one who excelled at being a hostess whether at home or at her social venues, she was very interested in people and made many cherished friends. She leaves behind her big sister Annette Spagnolo, sons Michael and Mitchell, grandsons Justin (Sarah) and Josh (Diana), daughter-in-law Jeannette, great grandson Zachary. Laura was preceded in death by husband Walter, son Mark; parents George and Clara Galloway and brothers George, Jack and Bob. Laura's family will be holding a "Celebration of Birth and Life" on July, 16, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm at the Quail Meadow Clubhouse located at 3158 NW 49 th Ave, Ocala FL 34482.[more]
