Annie Mae Thompkins

Once diagnosed with cancer and dementia Annie never gave up and never complained. Annie Mae Hardeman Thompkins died peacefully on June 9, 2022 at the age of 91, in the comforts of her granddaughter Tasha Tutt-Prince's home. Annie was born June 3, 1931 in Elgin, Texas to Thomas and Ella Mitchell Hardeman. During Annie's life here on earth she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. She attended Fort Street Church of Christ. Annie was married to IV Thompkins for many years. She loved traveling to Texas and Oklahoma. Annie was a dedicated worker retired from Campbell Soup and Kitty Clover Potato Chip Co. She also volunteered at Salvation Army. In her spare times she loved making homemade ice cream, embroidery and sewing. She loved Joe Tess Fish. Annie is survived by her 4 children Robert (Scottie) Hardeman, Maxine Hardeman, Vanessa Dale (Rodney) Wead (MO), Darrell Yarbough; 7 grandchildren Tasha Tutt-Prince, Terri Newsome, Tiffany (Trend) Hall, Ternell Hardeman, Terrence Hardeman, Kenosha Chastang CA, Carl (Latisha) Chastang Jr. OH, and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. In Memoriam God Saw You God saw you getting tired and the cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, "come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove us. He only takes the best!
