James Joseph Roth

James Joseph Roth, age 81, died on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Henry Ford Hospital Macomb in Clinton Township, Michigan. He was born on September 18, 1940, to the late Joseph J. and the late Dorothy M. (nee: Kennedy) Roth. Jim grew up on the east side of Detroit. He graduated from Austin Catholic High School in 1958. After graduation, he went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Lawrence Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. Jim completed a 4-year apprenticeship with General Motors in Body Engineering Activity where he mastered advanced model making, metal template and pattern making. He retired from GM in 2000 and then went on to become a certified accountant for H&R Block. During his career, Jim also remained busy working at various trade shows held at the Convention Center. In his free time, Jim enjoyed wood working and stained-glass work. Jim loved to dabble in all different forms of art, including painting and drawing to name a few.
