did just that. She did it for her family. She did it for herself. She did it for all women. Vicki (and her husband Rick) took great pride in making their home in Fort Calhoun a special place of gathering for loved ones. Their home was her vacation. Taking care of her plants, hanging by her pool, hosting family and friends, were her favorite things to do. But Vicki was also a relentless fighter. If you met her in the past 12 years, you wouldn't even know she was battling stage four breast cancer. That is just who she was. Protecting her family and friends from the pain and again, no excuses. She was passionate about both her career and her family; she was a true model of a successful businesswoman, loving wife, mother, grandmother (Bubby) and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and love. Memorial service on Friday, July 22nd at 4 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 7909 Morman Bridge Road, Omaha, Nebraska. Visitation to precede the service from 2-4 p.m. In honor of Vicki, please consider a donation to the The Women's Center for Advancement or the UNO Fund for Student Scholarships. Special thanks to Amber Ocken (St. Croix Hospice) and Terzja "T" Williams (Physician's Choice) for bringing such comfort to Vicki, Rick and Kara during this journey. No words can describe what you did for them. Thank you.
