Derrick McCall

Derrick McCall, 62, passed away on August 17th, 2022 at John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the devoted husband of Valerie McCall. They shared 7 years of marriage together. Born in Newark, New Jersey he was the son of Mary Shannon and Leo McCall. He attended and graduated from Ector High School in Odessa, Texas. He also obtained an associate's degree in business administration. At 21 years old, Derrick was employed at Mayflower Trucking as an interstate truck driver until he retired. In addition to truck driving, he also had an interest in other trades including vehicle mechanics and carpentry. Derrick had a deep passion for music and played a variety of instruments. He was a member of two bands, Incentric and Dsmooth. He also enjoyed playing video games and flying drones. Derrick was always willing to help and continuously entertained his family and friends with his comical personality.
