Susan Elizabeth Kulson
Susan Elizabeth Kulson (Hinsberg) was called to heaven on August 13, 2022. Sue was born on November 24, 1968 in Sterling Heights, MI. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Hinsberg and Mary Hinsberg (Koerner). Sue is survived by her mother, Mary, her brothers Joe (Shanti), Patrick (Jaimie) and sister Ann (Chad). Sue was a beloved Aunt to 10 nieces and nephews whom she loved fiercely and spoiled with pure joy! In 1982, Sue and her family moved from the Detroit area to Phoenix in the pursuit of warm weather. Sue attended high school at Gerard & Shadow Mountain and attended Arizona State University. She then spent a few years in Northern Michigan where she began her career in the hospitality industry as an event planner, followed by a few years in Laguna CA. After moving back to Arizona, she continued her passion of working in event planning as she worked in marketing for various Law Firms around the Valley, including her most recent employer of Osborn Maledon, P.A. ion was profound as she spent much of her free time dedicated to supporting the men and women involved. Sue supported the organization by helping plan events, fundraising efforts and building what she referred to as her second family. Sue's hobbies included reading, painting, traveling and most recently learning how to play the piano. Sue will be remembered for her love of movies, good music, daisies and her family. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life Mass is scheduled for Saturday, September 3 at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th St Phoenix, AZ. The family will host a reception at the Church following the mass. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to support the Phoenix Police Reserve Foundation at phoenixpolicereserve.org.
