Betty Jeane McNutt

Betty Jeane McNutt, age 97, of Quincy, died on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2:20 am in Blessing Hospital. Betty was born May 9, 1925, in Plainville, Illinois, the daughter of William O. and Gertrude Fusselman Crim. She married Carl H. Althoff on February 18, 1945 in Plainville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1960. She married Virgil G. McNutt on August 9, 1963 in Plainville. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1982. Betty was a 1944 graduate of Seymour High School in Payson, Illinois. She graduated from the Quincy School of Practical Nursing in August of 1963. She was employed as a LPN at St. Mary's Hospital, hospitals in Arizona and Bakersfield, California, and Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, California, before returning to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. She retired in January of 1991 from the Illinois Veterans Home, after 20 years of service. Betty had been a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church.
