Timothy D. Scanlon of Grosse Pointe Farms died peacefully at home Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022. He was 76.
Timothy was born July 1, 1946, at Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe Farms, to Rexford and Gertrude (nee Timmins) Scanlon. He received his education at St. Ambrose School in Grosse Pointe Park and upon graduation in 1964, began a 37-year career with Detroit Edison. He worked at the Trombly Service Center as a cable splicer for underground lines.
Timothy was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving the Michigan National Guard 191st Division as an Air Police sergeant. He also was a member of AmVets Post 57.
His many hobbies and interests included Notre Dame football, Detroit Lions football and Detroit Tigers baseball, but above all he loved being up north at the cottage and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Timothy was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Robert.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (nee Fradeneck); daughter, Mollie Scanlon Donaldson; son, Patrick Scanlon (Deanna); and grandchildren, Bridget and Timothy Donaldson and Maureen Scanlon.
