Alexander Joseph Mattingly

Alexander Joseph Mattingly, a beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away suddenly on November 10th, 2022, while at his place of employment in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 38 years old. Alexander was born on July 14, 1984, in Alva, Oklahoma to Thomas Joseph Mattingly and Alice Faye McAlpin Mattingly, who have preceded him in death. Alex moved to the greater Phoenix area as a very young child and attended area schools for his primary and secondary education. He was a graduate of Arizona Automotive Institute, where he received his welding certifications. At the time of his death, Alex was working in his chosen field as a robotic welder for U-Haul at the Glendale Manufacturing location. Alex was a very talented artist and could create beauty with any medium. He had a particular fondness for classic tattoo art. He was also a musician and built his own guitar. In keeping with his artistic soul, Alex was a very quiet person with a deep soul. He was loving and generous to all who were blessed to have known him. Mattingly, James Mattingly II, Andrew Hemaidan, Joseph Hemaidan and niece, Alison Hemaidan and grandniece, Jolie Faye Johnston. A Remembrance Wake will be held in his honor on Saturday, November 19th at 2pm at the home of his niece, Alison Hemaidan, who resides at 15221 N. 29th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85053.
