Oscar German

German, Mr Oscar Muskegon, Michigan Mr Oscar German, age 84, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was born in Wesson, Mississippi on November 17, 1938 to Johnnie & Willie Ann (Brown) German, attended Muskegon High School and served his country in the US Marines. Mr German had been employed at Lakey Foundry, the Muskegon Chronicle and the Grand Rapids Press. In his younger days he was a two time Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. Oscar was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ. He enjoyed softball, bowling, tennis and taking long walks around the Muskegon area. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS Son, Ivan Underwood; 3 daughters, Lena Lang (Dwayne Lang), Lakeva Thomas, Elizabeth Jenkins; 5 grandchildren, Courtney Rowe, Aaliyah Lang, Ivana Underwood, Laila Sims, Kannon Sims; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Govan, Lena (RC) Waldington; brother, John German. Oscar was preceded in death by his siblings, Geneva, Willie Mae, Betty Mae, Arlester, John, Willy, Edward, & Howard.
