Judge Steven A. Davis

Judge Stephen A. Davis, (retired) October 23, 1935 - December 22, 2022 Died in Omaha at age 87 following two years of declining health. Steve was born in Omaha to Carl and Helen (Corr) Davis and grew up here, graduating from Central High. Shortly after being drafted in 1958, he married his first wife, Nancy Perry, also of Omaha, with whom he had three children. After graduating from Creighton Law School in 1964, he was hired by the firm now known as Cassem, Tierny, Adams, Gotch and Douglas. In 1982, he was appointed as a judge of the Douglas County District Court. Justice was one of the few things in life he took seriously, and he did his best to dispense it until he retired in 2002. Steve married his second wife, Donna Tubach, in 1987. Over the next 35 years, they enjoyed much travel, food, love and laughter together. He had many hobbies over the years, but his favorites were reading, hunting, fishing, bicycling, kayaking and playing classical guitar.
