William Michael Finley

William "Michael" Finley, age 80, of Quincy, died on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:05 pm in Sunset Home. Mike was born July 11, 1942 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of W.C. and Dixie Jenkins Finley, Jr. In 1965 he married Ann Lindsey Ward in Hannibal, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2007. Mike was a 1960 graduate of Quincy High School, and in 1970 he received his Associates Degree from Midland Technical School. Mike began his career with a small television station in Columbia, SC. He returned to Quincy in 1972, beginning his career at Harris Corporation, where he was an engineer for TV products, and was a Lead Field Service Engineer. Throughout his career, Mike was instrumental with the broadcasting of WGEM. Mike was a member of the Church of Christ in Quincy. He loved cats, his HAM radio, and was a member of the Adams County Emergency Radio Agency. Survivors include: three children, Robert Michael Finley of San Jose, CA, Cynthia Ann Finley of Quincy, and Rebecca Ann Chitwood of Houston, TX; and two sisters, Charlotte Ann Corrigan of North Carolina, and Judy Lacombe of Hopewell Junction, New York.
