Paul Joseph DeRonne, August 31, 1940- April 21, 2023, age 82. Beloved husband of Lorrie (Claire Way) for 62 years. Loving father of Diane (Bruce) Bober, David (Rachael) and Donna (Nick) Frontczak. Proud grandfather of Brian (Janiece) Bober, Sarah (Matthew) Cook, Lisa (Patrick) Coram, Allison (Freddy) Orlando, Nicholas II (Courtney) Frontczak, Christopher Frontczak, Robert and Jack DeRonne. Great-grandfather of Nicholas III, Frederick, Claire, Griffin, Rosalie, Gwenyth, Logan, Nora, Benjamin, Luke and Ethan. Dear son of the late Euphrasia (Nolan) and late Alfred DeRonne. Brother of the late Patrecia (John) McCleary, the late James (Kathy) DeRonne and the late William (Susan) DeRonne. Paul is remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews. Paul was born and raised in Detroit. He attended St. Clare of Montefalco Church and grade school. He was a graduate of St. Joe's High School in downtown Detroit. He was a member of the Michigan Air National Guard for six years. He and Lorrie owned and operated DeRonne Hardware on East Warren in Detroit, starting in 1964. He loved talking and interacting with everyone. Basically, Paul loved people. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 2-8pm with a memorial service, 7pm, at Chas.
