Barbara "Joyce" Fisher

Barbara (Joyce) Fisher, 93, of Humboldt passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Laurens Care Center in Laurens, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 to 1:00 PM at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral home is serving the family. Joyce was born July 24, 1929, in Charles City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn (Bacon) Jenn. She was married to Roy Binger of Charles City in 1949. They had four children together, Lori Petersen of Bozeman, Montana, Frank (Cheryl) Binger of Livermore, Iowa, John (Kim) Binger of Westminster, Colorado and Michelle (Jeff) Dornath of Gilmore City and step-son, Blake Fisher of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Joyce married Ray Fisher in 1979 and they made their home in Humboldt for 34 years until Ray's passing in 2013. Joyce worked as a secretary and office manager for various companies in her career, and for many years, was employed by IPS/MidAmerican Energy in Humboldt before retiring.
