Pearl Mitchell was born in Washington DC January 17, 1936 to the proud parents of Pendleton & Fannie Hill who gave birth to seven children: John Edward Hill (deceased), Leroy G Hill (deceased), twin brother Pendleton W. Hill (deceased), Sarah E Hill (deceased), Fannie M Mathews (deceased), and the only surviving brother Vincent A Hill Sr. Pearl completed high school in Washington DC. She married William Y Peterson and moved to NYC they had three children together Israel, Joseph and Gloria. Pearl was involved in local politics in NY she started the 1st daycare in her neighborhood to honor Pearl a bronze plaque with her name resides at the entrance of the building til this day. She won a modeling contest at Ophelia DeVore modeling school and modeled and also became a make up artist. She also was a dancer and community activist but after opening up the daycare center she gain her teachers degree at the college of New Rochelle and was a very popular and well Loved teacher at the daycare she opened many years later she retired and moved to Arizona where she joined a senior dance group (hot chili peppers) she also raised one of her beloved grandchildren Davonna.
