Bonnie Curtis
Bonnie Curtis, of Antigo, passed away on May 30, 2023. She was 71 years old. She was born on December 17, 1951 in Antigo, a daughter of George and Anita (Fisher) Fischer. She married Richard "Dick" Curtis on November 30, 1974 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2007. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1969. Bonnie worked as a nurses' aide for many years at the Aspirus Langlade Hospital and Rosalia Gardens Assisted Living until 2007. She also worked at Johnson Electric Coil Company and drove for Marckx's Handy Van. Bonnie was an enthusiastic gardener and rock collector as well as an avid reader and cancer survivor of over 18 years. She will be remembered for so many roles including being a Brownie Scout leader, a softball coach, a football cheerleading coach, and performing CPR re-certifications for the hospital for many years. Bonnie enjoyed cooking, baking, making beautiful centerpieces using her hot glue gun, and jamming to her oldies. d cookouts at the family cottage on Bass Lake will be cherished. Survivors include a daughter, Sally Curtis (Roy Meade) of Antigo; two sons, Joseph Curtis of St Paul, Minnesota, and Matthew Curtis of Antigo; three brothers, Ted (Carol) Fischer of Arizona, Philip (Michelle) Fischer of Hilton, New York, and James Fischer of Antigo; sister-in-law, Arlene Krueger; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly Labre and Carol Fischer; brother, Larry Fischer; and sister-in-law, Sandy Fischer. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. till the time of service at the funeral home.
