Chad met Kimberly Nicklaus and the couple was united in marriage on March 29, 2011, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was attending DMACC at the time of his passing and working as a customer service representative for Napa Auto Parts. Some hobbies Chad enjoyed during his free time included being an avid golf enthusiast, going on fishing trips with his uncles, traveling with Kim's family, watching hockey, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings. Chad was also a movie buff and enjoyed seeing the new releases. Most of all, Chad had a faithful servant's heart and loved being there for his family, and spending time with Kim and those closest to him. Chad will be deeply missed by his wife, Kim of Ankeny; son, Austin "A.J." Lentz of the Bloomington, MN; mother, Linda Lentz of the Farmington, MN; sister-in-law Shelly (Troy) Turner of Roland, IA; niece, Madi Turner of Roland, IA; nephew, Nic (Deb) Turner of Ames, IA; parents-in-law, Steve (Sue) Nicklaus of Clear Lake, IA, his dogs, Steve and Kevin and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Lentz; grandparents, Vernon and Lila (Pasche) Curtis and Leigh and Marion Lentz. Chad is also preceded in death by his uncles, Darrell Curtis, and James Curtis.
