On January 9, 1943, in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Rozetta and Alton North became the proud parents of Hattie Mae. In 1958 Hattie and her family moved to San Diego, CA. She attended Memorial Jr. High School and graduated from San Diego High School in 1962. She later gained employment with Solar Turbines as an Electronics Assembler and retired after thirty-plus years of service. In the early 1960's Hattie and her mother united with Greater Trinity Baptist Church under the spiritual leadership of the late Pastor G. James Washington. She served faithfully with the Pastor's Aide, the Mission Auxiliary and she attended Sunday School regularly until her health began to fail. Ms. Hattie was a very generous person. She was well-loved by her church family young and old. She was extremely popular and held a special place in the hearts of the children. Whenever she came to church, she would come with a loving smile on her face and a purse full of candy that she would share with everyone. ember 20, 2023, Ms. Hattie was called to her eternal home in Glory. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alton and Rozetta North, and her husband James Edward Taylor. Precious memories of Ms. Hattie will live on forever in the hearts of her relatives and friends.
